Background

I am a human capital management professional who is passionate about the world of work, people development and learning (my own, and others). I have spent my career attracting, recruiting and developing talented people. I currently work for myself, choosing to do a variety of interesting work developing individuals and groups in a range of sectors. Outside my work, I am a schools' volunteer with the charity Kids' Company.

I started my career at London Business School (LBS) where my final role was as Deputy Director of the MBA Program. From LBS, I joined the start up of a City financial training company and spent eight years building up a successful venture (BG Training), of which I was a Company Director. During my tenure, BG Training was acquired by a public company, from which the senior team subsequently did a management buy-out. After a year's secondment to do my MSc in Occupational Psychology, I joined a US investment bank (Lehman Brothers) where I managed recruiting for the capital markets' divisions (up to Senior Associate level). From there, I moved into the Talent Management function where I developed professionals (firm-wide and at all levels) through individual and group interpersonal skills training, the facilitation of leadership modules for senior teams, and through individual coaching.

Skills and Style

As a facilitator and trainer I deliver energetic and business-relevant sessions on a range of topics across the leadership and interpersonal skills areas. I excel at building rapport and creating an engaging, participative and enjoyable learning environment with tangible outcomes.

I have delivered sessions across a range of levels (of seniority and knowledge), backgrounds and group sizes.

As a coach, I help individuals formulate and achieve their personal goals. I have a particular interest in career and transition coaching at all levels of seniority.

Education

I have a French Studies degree from the University of Manchester and later in my career I studied for a BSc Psychology with the Open University (graduating with first class honours).

I obtained my MSc in Occupational Psychology from Goldsmiths' College (University of London) and am undertaking formal coaching certification with I-Coach Academy (London).
